New Jazz Releases – 2022

Even though we try to listen to as much jazz music as we can, it is extremely hard to estimate how many new jazz releases are available every year. This article by Tom Hull, in which he estimates that about 6K new jazz albums are released each year, is eye-opening. 6K! That is quite a number for only jazz albums. So we will try to list as many “new jazz releases 2022” as possible. As 1K seems quite reachable, we will try to aim at 2k releases listed here by the end of this year.

This page is listing all the 2022 releases that we are aware of or become notified of, month by month, day by day, in the simple form: Artist, Title, and Label; plus a link to the release if possible. The recording of the album must have been made during the last 10 years, so no earlier than 2012.
