…and then there’s this is the second album by Artifacts, the trio formed by flutist Nicole Mitchell, cellist Tomeka Reid, and drummer Mike Reed, all long-time members of the cutting edge AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Music in Chicago). The album was released on October 29, 2021, by Astral Spirits Recordings.
